Dr. Scott Orr Now Available in Childersburg

Local joint care doctor Scott P. Orr, M.D., of OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports is now offering weekly clinics in Childersburg every Tuesday morning at 34011 U.S. Highway 280. The fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon also sees patients at OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports in Birmingham at 1801 Gadsden Highway and in Hoover at 118 Mars Hill Road. In order to meet the growing orthopedic needs of the community, OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports’ Dr. Orr will offer advanced joint care consultation and services to patients in Childersburg and the surrounding areas. Specializing in adult joint reconstruction and the management of degenerative joint conditions, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and post-traumatic arthritis, Dr. Orr is an expert in routine and complex joint replacement and revision surgery.

After earning his bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Homewood, Dr. Orr attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine for his Doctor of Medicine degree as well as his residency training in orthopedic surgery. Following residency, Dr. Orr underwent additional training through an adult reconstruction surgery fellowship at the Mississippi Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Jackson. He joined OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports in 2020, and Dr. Orr is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
